Linux on Apple Silicon
Chris Wade, CEO of Corellium The announcement is vague, the link gives 404. However, still somebody made a first move to port Linux to the recently announced M1 Chip, that will power future generations of Apple notebook devices. The community criticizes the approach: the port comes in a single patch with no documentation. Given the size of the patch this is pretty difficult to comprehend. Plus, the patch requires third party code, that apparently is not committed to git.
To conclude, this is a twofold message: while it’s good to see such developments and have Linux ported to such hardware, the approach indeed is difficult. On a more positive note, there are other working groups still motivated enough to work on a more complete port.

Rosa Bank im Wald Es gibt fast überall etwas unerwartetes zu sehen. Das Leben ist voll von Überraschungen. Man spaziert so dahin, ist in seinem Trott. Alltag, Arbeit, Kinder, Schule, Abendprogramm, Wiederholung. Dann geht alles von vorne los. Und selbst in den größten Krisen findet sich schnell Routine. Dies ist zu tun, das ist zu tun. Freunde, Verwandte helfen die Situation zu bewältigen, Ordnung zu schaffen, wieder “Normalität” herzustellen.
Und auf einmal steht da eine Rosa Bank mitten im Wald. Die nicht normal ist, niemals in den Alltag passt. Jedenfalls nicht so lange sie Rosa ist. Und es ist nicht einmal das “new normal”, von dem alle in der Krise neuerdings reden. Die Bank ist einfach anders und ist – abgesehen von der Kälte im Winter – sicher auch sehr gemütlich.

Alles was man braucht
Liebe Das Leben ist so viel schöner, wenn viel Liebe darin vorkommt. Manchmal ist es sogar das einzige, das den Tag lebenswert macht, weil so viel passiert, das Schicksal richtiggehend gemein. Liebe hilft andere zu verstehen, Kraft zu geben und an die Zukunft zu glauben.
