Apple’s “warrant canary” disappears, suggesting new Patriot Act demands.Im Zusammenhang mit dem iPhone6 und iOS8 Release gab es noch gestern Mitteilungen, dass Apple keine Userdaten entschlüsseln kann, auch nicht auf Regierungsanfragen. Nun hatte Apple wohl einen “warrant canary“, ein Konzept, nach dem man als Firma behauptet, nicht zur Herausgabe von Benutzerdaten gezwungen worden zu sein. In Apples Transparency Report fehlt neuerdings wohl der entsprechende Hinweis.
